Digital Archiving & Preservation Policy

Akhasia: Jurnal Akuntansi Syariah | STEI Permata Bojonegoro & CV Jeoja Word Indonesia

Akhasia: Jurnal Akuntansi Syariah is dedicated to the permanent preservation, digital integrity, and uninterrupted accessibility of all published scientific articles. To safeguard against server disruptions, technological obsolescence, or accidental data loss, the journal implements a comprehensive multi-layered preservation strategy spanning international distributed networks, national academic depositories, and institutional cloud backups.

1. Distributed Digital Archiving (PKP PN & LOCKSS / CLOCKSS)

The journal participates in global decentralized archiving initiatives to guarantee that published scholarly work remains perpetually discoverable:

  • Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN): Digitally deposits all published issues into a decentralized, secure network of participating university and research library nodes across the globe.
  • LOCKSS & CLOCKSS Support: The OJS framework enables Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe (LOCKSS) and Controlled LOCKSS protocols, permitting external research libraries to maintain permanent, independent digital archives of the journal.
  • Standardized Metadata Protocols: Published issues are structured using Dublin Core and OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) standards to facilitate universal harvesting.

2. National Repositories & Persistent Link Identifiers

Articles, metadata, and full-text PDF galleys are preserved across Indonesian national research infrastructures:

  • Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital): Harvested and indexed directly by the Indonesian national research discovery system (Kemdiktisaintek / BRIN).
  • Moraref (Kementerian Agama RI): Synchronized with the academic portal for Islamic higher education institutions and Islamic finance/accounting research.
  • Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia (Perpusnas): Submitted as part of the legal digital deposit system according to Indonesian serial publication regulations.
  • Crossref Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Every published article is assigned a persistent DOI ensuring permanent linking, discoverability, and immutable citation resolution.

3. Institutional Server Infrastructure & Backup Regimes

The akhasia.permata.ac.id domain is hosted on dedicated enterprise cloud infrastructure managed under the collaborative technical oversight of STEI Permata Bojonegoro and CV Jeoja Word Indonesia:

  • Automated Backup Protocol: Daily incremental backups and comprehensive weekly off-site backups are maintained for the SQL database, submission files, peer-review records, and published PDF galleys.
  • High-Availability & Security: Protected by TLS/SSL encryption (HTTPS), firewall intrusion defenses, and redundant solid-state storage to prevent unauthorized modifications or downtime.
  • Publisher Mirroring: Redundant offline snapshots of all volumes are stored within the digital archives of STEI Permata Bojonegoro and CV Jeoja Word Indonesia.

4. Author Self-Archiving Policy (Green Open Access)

Authors publishing in Akhasia: Jurnal Akuntansi Syariah retain the full right to self-archive their work:

  • Pre-print: Authors may archive non-peer-reviewed manuscript drafts prior to submission.
  • Post-print (Accepted Version): Authors may archive the accepted peer-reviewed manuscript upon completion of the review process.
  • Version of Record (Published PDF): Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published publisher's version immediately upon publication without embargo in institutional repositories, open academic archives, and profiles (e.g., ResearchGate, Google Scholar), with proper citation and DOI link to the original Akhasia publication.

5. Long-Term Preservation & Contingency Plan

In the unforeseen event that Akhasia: Jurnal Akuntansi Syariah ceases publication or the primary domain experiences permanent disruption, the decentralized digital preservation networks (including the PKP Preservation Network and national legal deposit repositories) ensure that all historical archives and published articles remain permanently discoverable and accessible to researchers and the public without charge.
